Vic Venturi (3-1) advertised his Grand National claims with a classy victory in the At The Races Bobbyjo Chase. Dessie Hughes’ Becher Chase winner effortlessly moved through the race and despite the presence of Grade One winner Notre Pere in the field, it was left to stable companion Black Apalachi to chase him home.
Vic Venturi was cut from 25 to 14/1 for the John Smith’s Grand National following his success in the Bobbyjo Chase at Fairyhouse earlier this afternoon. Tricky Trickster is the 10/1 favourite from 12s and 2009 winner Mon Mome is out to 33/1 following the success of Silver By Nature in the Blue Square Gold Cup.
